Socially responsible business: how does it work in Ukraine?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a practice where businesses not only care about their profits but also make a charitable contribution to the development of society and support socially important initiatives.
2022 has changed the way companies approach social responsibility, and for many it has become part of their corporate culture.
What are the signs of corporate social responsibility?
Unlike the European experience, in Ukraine, the main components of social responsibility have changed in the context of a full-scale invasion.
- Financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Every CEO or company manager understands that supporting the military is the most important thing, because otherwise the business will not work.
Many Ukrainian companies regularly organize fundraisers, establish their own funds, or donate a certain percentage of their profits.
- Charity
Charity events are a good way to raise funds. This can include the services of specialists, such as consultations for a donation or payment in lieu of an entrance ticket to an event.
- Psychological support
Along with financial support, we do not forget about psychological support. This can be seen in the support of veterans and their families, and assistance with adaptation to civilian life.
How to implement social responsibility in a company?
Start with simple steps - support the initiative of a charitable organization or foundation whose values resonate with you or are in common with yours. Then your contribution to their cause will be truly sincere.
One initiative we would like to share with you today is a collection from the Vdianchni Charitable Foundation. Since its inception in 2022, the Foundation has been striving to provide medics with the necessary means to protect them and save lives.
On September 1, the Foundation launched the Back to Donations campaign, which any business can join. This is an initiative that treats the start of school as an opportunity to return to systematic and disciplined approach to what is our responsibility. Children return to the responsibility to learn, and adults return to the responsibility to donate.
The funds raised will be used to purchase and equip 4 vehicles for evacuation of the wounded for the 67th Brigade Medical Company in the Liman sector.
The fundraising goal is UAH 13 million.
How can your business join the Back to Donations campaign?
The company spreads the word about the collection among its colleagues. They donate a convenient amount, and the company doubles the amount collected by employees.
This is an opportunity to remind or tell about the corporate social responsibility of your business through the dissemination of information on social networks or media.
And most importantly, you support a good cause ❤️
We resonate with the values of the Vzglyadni Charitable Foundation, so Anybusiness Consult joins this initiative and encourages you to express your support for the campaign as well.
So we urge you to join the Back to Donations initiative and do great things in small steps.
